On Thursday 23rd February Clare House is replacing its phone system. On the 23rd we expect disruption to our phone service and we may be unreachable by phone for up to an hour. Regrettably the exact time at which the system will be unavailable will not be known until the 23rd but will be after 10:00am.

  • Telephone System Changes

    On Thursday 23rd February Clare House is replacing its phone system.

    On the 23rd we expect disruption to our phone service and we may be unreachable by phone for up to an hour. Regrettably the exact time at which the system will be unavailable will not be known until the 23rd but will be after 10:30am.

    As part of replacing the phone system we will be altering our telephone line opening times.
    From 16.1.17 the practice phone lines will be open 8:30am – 6pm.

    The practice will continue to be open from 8am – 6:30pm, only the phone line opening time will change.

    When the practice is closed medical advice and treatment is provided by the NHS 111 service

    Dr Monika Gemza-Rooke has left Clare House

    Dr Monika Gemza-Rooke left Clare House Surgery on 14th December 2016
    We are sure you will join us in wishing Monika well in her future endeavours.
    All of Dr Gemza-Rooke's patients have been transferred to either Dr Katie Foster, Dr Katherine Govier, Dr Jon Williams or Dr Catherin Sherwin.

    If you were a patient of Dr Gemza-Rook and have not received a letter informing you of your new GP please contact the practice.

    Dr Helen Perry left Clare House on 16th November 2016

    It was with great sadness that we said goodbye to Dr Helen Perry who left Clare House Surgery on November 16th.
    General practice has changed significantly over the time Dr Perry has been with us and we thank her for her huge commitment to the practice, the staff and above all to the patients.
    We are sure you will join us in wishing Helen well in her future endeavours.
    Dr Perry has asked that we thank everyone on her behalf for all of the good wishes she has received.
    All of Dr Perry's patients have been transferred to our New GPs Dr Katie Foster and Dr Katherine Govier.

    Proposed Practice Merger

    We are delighted to announce our intention for Clare House Surgery and Bampton Surgery to merge on 1 April 2017
    We believe the merger will make it possible to:
     Continue to offer high quality healthcare to our patients
     Increase the services we offer
     Tailor services to the needs of our patient population
     Help doctors and nurses spend more time with patients
     Offer a wider range of appointments
     Allow patients access to services across two sites
     Maintain a workforce of well-trained, friendly staff
     Ensure the future stability of both practices

    Clare House Changes - October 2016

    On October 3rd 2016 a number of changes will be taking place.
    These include:

    Dr Jon Williams joining as our new GP partner
    Dr Katie Foster joining as our new salaried GP

    Dr Wood reducing the number of GP sessions he provides at Clare House
    Dr Long reducing the number of GP sessions he provides at Clare House
    Dr SJ Seymour altering her working pattern

    Flu Vaccinations

    Flu Season is coming and appointments are now open to book in for your vaccination.

    Flu Clinics start in October 2016

    You are eligible for a free NHS Flu jabs if you are:

    - Aged over 65 years
    - Aged between 6 months – 65 years with a chronic medical condition
    - Pregnant
    - Age 2, 3 and 4

    Attention Soon to be Students!

    There is a Freshers vaccination program being run this year for all young people between the ages of 18 and 25 who are going to university for the first time. You may have seen something in your UCAS information pack explaining that you are eligible for a Men ACWY Vaccination. If you are interested please contact the surgery and make an appointment.

    Welcome to the New Clare House Website

    We would like to apologise for the technical issues we have had with our website over the last few days which resulted in it being inaccessible and for any inconvenience caused.

    Whilst we work on the technical issues we have had to reduce some of the functionality of the site.

    We hope to get all parts of the new website fully functional within the next few days and apologies for any inconvenience caused during this transition.
